First home for the club, crossing the line in 35:47 with a determined sprint finish for seventh overall (and 2 FO), was a delighted Natasha Henderson.

Following quickly were Louise Smart (37:26), Irene Downey 40:29 (2 FV50), Ashleigh Brown (41:01) and Carol Annesley (41:57). Jane Kinnear (43:35), Lynette McBride (44:03) and Marian Hayes (47:42) all gave determined performances.

Eileen Stewart (55:04, 3 FV60), Martina Armstrong (55:52), and Grace Startin (56:52) also ran strongly.

Special mention to Ashleigh and Lynette in their race debuts with County Antrim Harriers.

Nine Harriers ran the Castleward Challenge Half Marathon and 10k events, organised by Born 2 Run.

In the 10k, Graeme O’Hara dug deep to cross the line in 48:26. He was followed by Talitha Collins (1:02:57), Ally Bennett (1:15:28), and Marion Morrow (1:37:07).

While in the Half, Lyn Hardie was first home in 2:01:55. Michael Ogilby (2:25:20) and Tony Barclay (2:49:13) were next, with Eileen Stewart and Martina Toal crossing the line together (2:58:12).

On the parkrun scene, Natasha Henderson and Dean McBride achieved well deserved personal bests.

On Sunday, hardy Harriers, Louise and Glenn Smart, travelled to Portadown for Jaffa Mud Madness. Due to recent heavy rain, the course lived up to its name. Both survived and finished well, with Louise claiming a podium place.
