ATHLETICS: Jamison’s gearing up for Festival of Running

Springwell Running Club and Dervock & District Community Association are delighted that Jamison’s Landrover Specialists, Castlecatt Road, will provide the lead vehicles and make a financial contribution to the Kennedy Kane McArthur Festival of Running.

The marathon, half marathon and 10K will take place on Saturday 21 July. This will be the second year Jamison’s Landrovers has led the athletes round the course.

Jamison’s premises are situated on the course opposite the entrance to the finish area of the three races. They have a large selection of four wheeled vehicles and their mechanics are specially trained in all aspects of Landover service and repair, with their work guaranteed to be of the highest calibre.

Anyone interested in entering the Festival of Running can do so online at www.athleticsni.org or by downloading an entry form from www.springwellrunners.com. There will be a Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K so there should be a race for everyone. All three courses have been accurately measured by Athletics NI. The Half Marathon is included in the Up & Running Half Marathon Series and anyone running the marathon can have their half way time recorded for that competition. Entries close on 30th June so there will be no entries on the day. All runners will receive a technical T-shirt and for marathon and half marathon runners, a specially commissioned bespoke medal.
