The WCM organisers have announced a special ‘Kids Mini Run’ of approximately 800m to complement the 10 miler, its open to anyone between 6 and 17 years, is absolutely free to enter and will start in Ebrington immediately after the main race gets under way at 10.30am.

The course will leave Ebrington, out onto St. Columb’s Road and drop down into St. Columb’s Park to finish with a circuit round the running track, using the same Finish Gantry as the 10 miler. Medals and Goody Bags will be presented to all the finishers.

Entries will only be taken from 9.30am in race HQ at Ebrington on race day and the younger runners may be accompanied by an adult. A great opportunity for families who may have someone in the 10 miler, to get into the mood to welcome home their mum, dad, older sibling or relative.

It also provides an early opportunity to sign up for the annual Kids Mini Marathon which has become an integral part of the SSE Airtricity Walled City Marathon which this year is set for Sunday, June 5th.

Check it all out in Ebrington on Saturday March 5th or on the WCM website at www.thewalledcitymarathon.com.
