This one should serve up some cracking action as the runners battle it out for places at next month’s NI Finals in Mallusk.

The action starts at 12noon with close to 300 young athletes set to participate over the three races.

Much interest will focus on St Patricks Pennyburn’s Oisin Colhoun to make it three wins in a row in the Boys race, he won at Thornhill and Templemore Sports Complex pre-Christmas and could go all the way again.

Ceara Doherty of St Annes and Victoria O’Neill of Therese won at Thornhill and the Complex respectively and may well go head to head tomorrow afternoon in the Girls race.

Both St Patrick’s and Broadbridge look to have already qualified their Boys and girls teams having dominated the first two team races so the real question tomorrow is who will join them in the three to qualify for the NI Finals?? Hollybush and St Therese look like the main contenders for the Boys qualifier and in the Girls its Hollybush looking good unless St Annes upset the odds.
