Athletics: Stunnerz in Runnerz event returns to Magherafelt

The fifth annual female only '˜Stunnerz '˜N' Runnerz' 5 mile walk, jog or race will take place on Saturday 11th June at Meadowbank.

This event supports Pretty ‘n’ Pink, a charity which helps patients with breast cancer and their families across Northern Ireland, while also advancing the education of breast cancer awareness.

Sperrin Harriers want to celebrate the ladies who have taken up running, to compete or just for fun and fitness. Stunnerz ‘N’ Runnerz is designed to give women of all ages and abilities the opportunity to test themselves in an officially timed yet friendly environment.

The enterprise has proven to be a great success since its inception five years ago, and the aim is to see this continue in 2016.

Many activities are planned for race day such as a DJ, dance warm up, and post race buffet. Stalls providing massages and advice regarding health and nutrition will be available. Local fitness clubs will be on hand to give out information on activities in the area.

There will also be opportunities to shop for sports clothing, and less athletic wares such as handbags and jewellery. All in all it will be a fun and healthy day out!
