In the end Bann were disappointed just to take 5.5 points rather than all seven, which they were on course to do after end 17.

Rink 1: At five ends it was 4-4 but J Hamilton’s rink gradually pulled away and after 14 ends they had opened up a 10 shot advantage to lead 16-6, going on to win 20-11.

Rink 2: Bann trailed after five ends by eight shots but after winning four ends in a row they found that gap closed to just two shots with the score 9-11. Bann had moved in front by end 15 and in the end took victory by nine shots - 21-13 the final score.

Rink 3: This was Bann’s only losing rink. They led after six ends by 10 shots but Clarendon got back into the game by winning the next three ends and by end 11 the score was 16-10 to the locals. In the end they lost 10 shots and in the end, after a brief recovery, they were beaten 19-26.

Rink 4: After five ends this rink led 6-4 but by end nine that had increased to 13 shots. Bann lost the next four ends and so the advantage was reduced to just four and again it was reduced to three 20-17. Clarendon won the last two ends to tie the scores at 20-20 and claim half a point.
