With the curtain down on the 2014-15 badminton season, it was a year to look back on with pride for Ballyclare Badminton Club.

The club hit a purple patch which saw them win a number of pieces of silverware.

History was made when they won the North Down Division One title for the first time.

There was also success in the Ballinderry Mixed Division One section, with the team scooping a league and cup double.

The trophy cabinet was bolstered further when they won both the Ulster League Division Two and Three titles. They also won the Division Four and Five Cups.

Kyle Graham, Ballyclare’s North Down and Ballinderry league skipper, was pleased with a memorable campaign.

“It has been an excellent performance by all of our teams and players,” he said. “We hope to continue the success we have had this year, by retaining all the trophies we have won.”

The club meets every Wednesday evening at 19.30 in Ballyclare High School. New members are welcome.
