Ballinderry come back in style to secure fine home win

Ballinderry were at home to The Crows in the First Blues Lisburn and District Dart League last weekend.

The hosts looked to be all at sea, going behind 4-1, but somehow they grabbed a lifeline and took the next five with some good finishing for a 6-4 victory.

Ballinderry winners were E. Moulds (5x100, 16 darts), N. Brown (116 outshot), G. Rea (2x140), M. Yeates (4x100, 2x19 darts), W. Hall (3x100, 140), S. McMurray (3x100).

The Crows winners were J. Watton (2x100), J. Wallace (3x100), P. Logan (100, 2x140) and W. Harkness.

Maghaberry A seemed to have the measure of visitors Marketview, racing into a 4-1 lead.

This was clawed back taking the match to the last game, with the Maghaberry player finishing stronger for a deserved 6-4 win.

Ballymacash, even playing very good darts, were not strong enough to upset league leaders Byrnes A, losing 6-3.

The Second Division returned to league action last weekend after their Cup break. Catch-My-Pal were pushed all the way by Laganview winning the last three games for a 6-4 win.

Catch-My-Pal winners were S. McCurley (100), J. Snodden (100), S. Wylie (100), N. Andrews, T. Watson and J. Green (140).

Laganview winners were K. Watson, G. Alister, W.G. Alister 9100, 140) and M. Laffin.

The Second Division Cup finalists played each other in Dunmurry with Dunmurry Inn beating Maghaberry B 6-4.

Dunmurry Inn will be hoping for the same result in the Cup final on February 28.

Byrnes B played host to McCrums and proved to have too much strength in depth with a 7-3 victory.
