Ballycastle in McAuley Cup clash

The quarter final of the McAuley Cup senior hurling takes place on Sunday 4 March in Armoy (2.30pm) between Ballycastle and St Johns Belfast.

Both teams have three players each in the Antrim county team and the fact that Antrim have no match this weekend should lead to both teams fielding at full strength.

Cormac Donnelly, Neil McAuley and Kevin B McShane from Ballycastle all played in Antrim’s win over Wexford last week along with Colm McFall, Barry McFall and Simon McCrory from St Johns.

The winners will play All Ireland club finalists Loughgiel in the semi final after the 17th March for the right to meet Dunloy in the final.
