Ballyclare ‘B’ defeat league leaders Saints

St Comgall’s remain two points clear at the top of the Larne and District Snooker League, despite losing to Ballyclare B.

D. McDonagh (21) and Gary Johnston (42) won for the Saints, with Ian Wallace, Ronnie West and Adam McIntyre (25) giving the visitors the edge. Ballyclare ‘A’ sit two points behind in second after a narrow 3-2 win over The Point. J. McKay (31), S. Higgins and David Lyness were on target for Ballyclare.

Latharna occupy third spot despite a 3-2 reverse at home against Carrick B. George McGregor and Raymond Weir notched the frames for the Larne men but victories for Harry Wade, Tommy Bond and Colin Spence were enough to see the golfers through.

Q-Club ‘A’ are up to fourth with their seventh win of the season, beating Carrick side Greenbank ‘A’. Andy Lillly, M. Kane (30) and Lee Topping helped them on their way with Pete McCaffrey and Davy Douglas (41) responding for the hosts.

P. Wylie, David McAllister and Davy Irwin helped Ballylumford climb the table in a 3-2 win over Linfield. Ross McDowell and John Ferguson were on target for the Blues.

Carrick ‘A’ claimed their third success of the campaign with an away win at St John’s. Derek Newell, Ricky Bradley (34) and Gavin Baker (28) gave them the edge with Damien Todd and Andy Reid winning for the hosts.

Q-Club B’s Neil McFaul was in good form as he hit a 37 break in his side’s 3-2 win over Greenbank ‘B’. Damien Steele won his frame, as did I. Adrian. Harry Nelson and H. McMurtry won for the Sunnylands side.
