Ballymena girl Oonagh is swim-ply fantastic
BALLYMENA swimmer Oonagh O’Neill continues to make a splash in competitive events.
The St Louis Grammar School pupil’s exploits were celebrated at a recent recption hosted by Mayor of Ballymena, Cllr.Hubert Nicholl, in honour of all her achievement in her 13 year age group.
Oonagh, from Deramore Park, has received a gold medal in the 100m back stroke and broke an 8 year old record, has team silver and bronze in Team Relay events.
She trains every Wednesday and Friday night in the Seven Towers Leisure Centre through the Sporting Excellence Support Scheme.
