Ballymena golf fans flock to Irish Open
HUNDREDS of Ballymena people were among the thousands who flocked to last week’s Irish Open golf championship at Royal Portrush.
They braved some wet and windy conditions over the four days to watch some of the sport’s top names and also to cheer on Ballymena duo Dermot McElroy and Chris Devlin, who were competing in the tournament.
Ballymena Times photographer John McIlwaine was on hand to picture some of the locals who enjoyed the event.
