Ballymena win at Ballinderry pairs

THE Ballymena combination of James Gaston and Andy Duncan won the Ballinderry Open Pairs Competition at Hilden Bowling Club when they beat Michael Beattie, Ballinderry and Andrew Leckie, St Mark’s, Portadown in the final.

Duncan had beaten the last remaining Ballinderry pair, Albert and Keith Morrison in the semi-final, following a win over Peter Campbell/ Paul Canning, Bangor in the quarter finals.

Beattie/Leckie beat Jarl Richardson/Cecil Dillon, Soldierstown in the semi-final, having won against Eddie Marsden, Ballinderry and Gerry Conroy, Beragh in the quarter finals.

Albert and Keith Morrison had a win over Yvonne Hall and Partner, Drumgor in the quarter finals and Richardson/Dillon won their last eight game over John Rafferty and partner, Omagh.
