Ballymoney All Stars win again - this time against Triangle B

THE Ballymoney All Stars played hosts to Triangle B and gained another win which keeps them in contention at the top of the table in the McAtamaney’s Butchers sponsored Ballymoney and Coleraine Snooker League

It was Danny Tweed who set the standard with a two frames win over Curtis Boreland while Shaw Williamson accounted for Adrian Boreland taking both frames to set up the win.

The last two frames saw a very out of form Leonard McConaghie beaten by Chris Boreland, a very impressive win for an improving young player to take the Man of the Match, and two good points for Triangle B. There was a scout from another top of the table team looking on to see if there could be an upset but it wasn’t to be.

Dunloy Utd travelled to Triangle Hawks and gained a four frames to two win in a very close match which could have gone either way. The first two frames went in favour of the visitors which Cathal Cunning took the first on a re-spotted black and the second on the pink against Don Leighton with the Hawks still looking for that first win of the season.

The other matches were drawn when Walter Purcell took a frame off Randal McDonnell who won the second easily. It looked as though Dunloy would go on to win five frames to one when Martin Crawley took the first but his opponent Kenny Hutchinson rallied to make it four frames to two. The match between Drones A and 147 Club was cancelled.
