Ballymoney CC riders support MacMillan Cancer Support

CyclingON a bright and mild Sunday morning over 340 cyclists set off from Rossa Park between Magherafelt and Castledawson in support of MacMillan Cancer Support.

Ballymoney Cycling Club combined their racing and leisure cyclists, 14 in total made the effort to lend their support to this worthy cause.

As the massive group left in the direction of Magherafelt, all types of bikes were on display, thoroughbred racers, mtb's, hybrid cycles and all ages were going along for the ride.

Taking in the towns and villages of south Derry, Moneymore, Straw, Moneyneaney Draperstown, Maghera, Knockloughrim, Castledawson and back to Rossa park.

55 miles in total was covered and at the end the promoting club Carn Wheelers invited everyone to take part in an excellent spread of refreshments laid on for everyone.

Ballymoney Cycling Club want to thank Carn Wheelers for their hospitality and want to assure them of our continued support as they like ourselves try to promote cycling in our respective areas.

Ballymoney Cycling Club AGM

Ballymoney CC will be holding their first AGM on Tuesday 2 November at 7.30pm in the Joey Dunlop Centre, as all positions are up for re election we want to encourage everyone to come along and take part in this occasion.

As a good crowd is expected we want to invite friends and supporters of Ballymoney CC to come along. You will be able to hear how the club has enjoyed success in its first year and view the submitted club financial records and hear reports from the different sections of the club.

Training and leisure runs

Leisure and racing groups leave from Outdoor Life on Market Street Ballymoney from 9.30am on Saturday and on Sunday from Ballymoney Rugby Club car park at 9.30am. As the Leisure runs are at the pace of the slowest ride the emphasis is on enjoyment and good healthy cycling in a small group. New people are invited come along and join in.
