Ballymoney CC riders support Marie Curie

CyclingBALLYMONEY Cycling Club's Health and Leisure cyclists took part in the Roe Valley CC promoted event on Saturday in Limavady. All the proceeds from these events, the 50km and 10km cycle were donated to the Marie Curie Cancer Care Fund.

Leisure Secretary Chris Frew, Charlie Dickson, Eddy and Bryan McKinney rode the 50km event in theGortnahey hills around the scenic roads of the Roe Valley, with breath taking views if Legavannon Pot and Benevenagh in the distance.

With over 140 cyclists taking part, Ballymoney CC's Niall Carlin and his young daughter Rebecca, rode in the family 10km event.

This was well supported and Niall who is a veteran of lap the Lough and other Charity events is becoming a regular at these type of events. Niall has even expressed an interest in competing in the horrifically tough 1400 mile, non stop race around Ireland in the next couple of years. Niall always likes to include the younger ones in these family events and Rebecca is getting in the miles along with her Dad in preparation for more of the same next year.

Coming Events

Ballymoney cycling Club are holding their next club meeting at the Joey Dunlop Centre, on Tuesday 5th October at 7.30pm.

Then on Tuesday 2nd November at 7.30pm the club will hold their Annual General Meeting, this will give you the public an opportunity

To come along and give your opinions on how you feel Ballymoney CC have performed in 2010. All positions in the club will be vacated.

This gives everyone an opportunity to elect new members to office for the incoming 2011 season.
