This A group included Ballymoney CC rider Bobby Kane (right) and Belfast’s star rider Conor McConvey just back from riding the 140km Gran Prix Cycliste la Marsellaise in southern France.

This group maintained a steady pace and averaged 22mph average for the 75 mile run.

Bobby said at the finish that the last 20 miles were a case of digging in and hanging onto the wheel in front of you.

This determination showed as Bobby finished in the front group with the top riders in the country.

Ballymoney CC would like to thank the Kane family for their support of the Ballymoney rider and seeing him through to this notable achievement.

Bobby is using these events in preparation for the first races of the 2010 season and plans to kick his year off at the Travers Engineering Annaclone Grand Prix at Banbridge on Saturday 27 January.

Saturday and Sunday saw the Ballymoney club runs well supported with nine riders out on the Sunday run.

These are getting more and more support each week and still there is an open invitation to all local riders to come along and join in.
