Ballymoney Cycling Club's Shay Donley won the Cicli Sport Under16 race on Saturday.

Donley led home a good quality field around the Loup?Coagh circuit, proving too strong for the rest of the field in the run in.

This was the first weekends racing for the Youth Racing Team.

Breandan Flannaghan and Andrew Allen, Andrew had to withdraw with a smashed frame, but will no doubt get more chances in the future.

Breandan finished off a good first time outing in the green jersey of Ulster along with teammates from Maghera and Randalstown, Niall Lawrence and Cahir Doyle.

This weekend was business as usual for the Ballymoney riders in a dominating display of cycling on both days, Saturday at CicliSport GP and the PJ Logan in Coalisland.

Shay Donley 1st U16 at the CicliSport, Aaron Swan 2nd (Senior A Race CicliSport), Kevin McCambridge 2nd U16 at the PJ Logan, Finn Sands Robinson 3rd and 10th U16 at the PJ Logan and CicliSport, Robbie Doherty 5th A3 at the CicliSport, Liam McAuley 5th U14 at the CicliSport, Andrew Robinson 6th U16 CicliSport, Rowan Montgomery 4th U14 at the PJ Logan.

In the senior A race at the PJ Logan at Coalisland, the three BCC Ras team riders Steven McAllister, Aaron Swan and Ryan Bankhead all finished in the top 20 out of a field of 52 A1 and A2 riders.

Well done to all the BCC riders racing at the weekend, Marshall Craig and George Peden at the PJ Logan in the A4 race and young Jordan Campbell in the U16’s.

This Wednesday evening is the LungBuster One 5 mile TT on the Ballybogey Rd. The event starts at 6.45pm sharp.

This is the first club event of 2016 and has now grown into a real challenge for riders of all abilities trying out the short but testing distance against themselves and the timekeepers stopwatch.

Everyone welcome to come along and support the riders.
