With quite a few changes on the squad, Angie Huey, the new head coach will take the team forward in this the club’s 30th anniversary year.

We have lost quite a few players from the first XI panel; Alex Halliday,Jessica Moore and Cara Ferguson are all of f to University and the club wishes them all the best in their studies,

Jessica Legg (Lynch) as moved to Dublin, Sammy Jo Greer has taken a year out and Suzie Sneddon is off on maternity . Players back in this season are Bridget Cleland,Lauren Steen, Ruth Sutherland and Diane McNeil bringing with them a wealth of experience and talent.

Nikki Cairns has joined from Victorians and is already making her mark at training as has Emma McElwee (Limavady). Angie Huey has proved herself over the years to be a talented player and great reader of the game and it’s also a big land mark season for her as this is her 20th season with the club and within that space of time she has been with the 1stxl in their promotion to senior status, their Irish Senior Cup win , Ulster League title and also their two Ulster Shield victories.

Her quiet determined unassuming manner has earned her not just the respect of her team mates but also that of other clubs and umpires.

Liz Lamont resumes the position of manager and the new team captain is Nikki Parke.

As a club we look forward to the new season an we would like to thank all those involved with the club over the 30th years and we look forward to your continued support in the events which will be held through out the year to mark this memorable occasion.

The first event in the social is on Saturday 13th - our mini and junior fun day and registration and a day for all to put in their calendar is 2nd may which will the anniversary dinner which this year will be held in the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre.
