Unfortunately, Queens took an early goal from a shot at the top of the circle which went uncontested.

The Toon’s hard work soon payed off as a quick free from a foul in the middle of the pitch found Lauren Henry on the edge of the circle who slotted the ball to Emma Smyth who took a well earned goal at the closing minutes of the first half.

In the second half the teams picked up the pace and battled hard. Ballymoney’s defence was strong with excellent balls coming out of the back from Diane Ramsey, Robyn Ennis and Maria Doherty.

Sadly Ballymoney picked up a few more injuries while Queens picked up a few more goals.

Ballymoney III will be determined to improve on this scoreline as they play Ards at home this Saturday.

Thanks to Sabrina Moore for umpiring and Diane Kirgan for coaching.
