Ballymoney Rugby Club hosts ‘A night with Keith Gillespie’

There’s a real treat in store for local football fans this Saturday 18th, April when Liam Beckett hosts ‘A night with Keith Gillespie’.

Taking place at Ballymoney Rugby Club at 7.30pm, the ticket only event promises some serious craic and banter as the former Manchester United footballer talks about his life on and off the pitch.

Gillespie began his career at Manchester United after winning the FA Youth Cup in 1992, before moving to Newcastle United, where he played in the UEFA Champions League.

He also played in the Premier League for Blackburn Rovers, Leicester City and Sheffield United, helping the former win the Football League Cup in 2002. Towards the end of his career, he played for Glentoran in the Irish League and Longford Town in the League of Ireland.

Gillespie earned 86 caps for Northern Ireland putting him sixth in their most capped players of all time.

Gillespie is also well known for his antics off the pitch which were well documented in his autobiography ‘How Not to be a Football Millionaire’.
