Ballymoney take Division C title with nail-biting win

A very close battle ensued when Ballymoney Aquasprint Team swam in a three way Division C final against Ballymena and Newry & Mourne at Ards.

Ballymoney fielded a team of 20 swimmers and, despite not being allowed to dive, managed to win by one point over Newry & Mourne in a closely contested and at times, nail biting final.

The final result was Ballymoney 289, Newry & Mourne 288 and Ballymena 263.

Ballymoney won 16 races in all with Amelia Clarke, Chloe Bond, James Wright and Liam Webb winning three races each.

The Group C and D boys won all of their events. There were 10 Personal Best times (PBs) which means 10 of our young swimmers managed to swim their fastest time all year right at end of the season – no mean feat!Lucy Kirgan had two PBs and Adam Faulkner had three!
