* BUYA U11’s - BALLYMONEY U11 2 CULMORE 1 - After the parade in the morning the boys had to hang about to 6pm for their game. It definately had an effect on their game as chance after chance went abegging. Finally the goal came in the second half when Chad O’Neill powerful drive found the net, Culmore responded straight away, when Ballymoney failed to clear the ball and from the resulting scramble the ball found the net.Ballymoney were almost punished again only for the post to save them. This gave them the wake-up call they needed and it wasn’t long before Conall Doherty popped up to score the winner.

BALLYMONEY 3 INISHOWEN COLTS 0 - This was probably Ballymoney’s best performance, their passing and moving at pace was a joy to watch. Two goals from Shaw Fleck and one from Conall Doherty was enough.

BALLYMONEY 2 OXFORD COLTS 2 - Ballymoney needed something from this game to qualify as group winners, if they slipped up Oxford would go through. Ballymoney soon took the lead through PJ Mc Aleese well taken goal and held it to half time. Second half Oxford gave it everything and scored two quick goals to take the lead, this left Ballymoney going out,  Oxford had a player dismissed, this gave Ballymoney the advantage and they pounced late on to grab a well deserved draw to take them through.

BALLYMONEY 1 DERRY COLTS 0 - With warm temperatures this was going to be a test of stamina as well, Ballymoney could hardly believe their start going one up after only two minutes when Shaw Fleck scored a powerful header. From this point Ballymoney fought for everything chasing every ball, and thowing bodies at everything, the defence of James Drain and Chad O’Neill stood firm and they were awesome. Half-time came and the boys new they were fifteen minutes away from being crowned Foyle Cup champions. The second half went the same way as the first, with Derry throwing everything at them and Ballymoney hitting on the counter. Mathew Knight had a great chance to seal it but his shot just went over the bar. With only minutes remaining Alistair Gardiner made the right decision to come of his line and beat the forward to the ball. The boys remained focused and saw out the remaining minutes to be crowned FOYLE CUP CHAMPIONS!

Congratulations to all the boys on this wonderful achievement, this is something they will always treasure.
