Ballyvally archers host Mulligan Hunting Trails

OVER 50 archers turned out for the annual Mulligan Hunting Trails in Castlewellan Forest Park last weekend.

For many of the cubs it was their first chance to shoot 3-D animals in the forest and one they thoroughly enjoyed. There were 20 animals to shoot on 15 trails, with some hidden behind the undergrowth, so everyone had to keep a good lookout to make sure they didn’t miss a second animal.

Targets ranged from small foxes and rabbits to deer, boar and even a bear. Everyone shot the 20 animals in the morning and over lunch some of the animals mysteriously moved to new hiding places in the forest.
