Balnamore are motivated for 2016

Like most local teams, Balnamore FC has had a long lay-off from action due to the Christmas break and the inclement weather in the run up to the festive period.

However, as the New Year approaches they are starting to think about returning to action in January, however they still have another week to wait before that happens.

“Our next game is not until January 9th when we host Coleraine Olympic at Balnamore,” said Balnamore’s Alan Buick.

“We hope to continue our current run of eight league games unbeaten which is a good base to build on. There’s no doubt the weather played havoc with the fixtures during December and although we had training on astro it’s just not the same as grass.

“Balnamore have probably the best pitch in the league and the boys love playing on it so they can’t wait to get back out again.

“The team is excited and very motivated for the remainder of the season and we are raring to get back at it. On our day Balnamore can beat anyone, we have a great bunch of boys who are positive yet realistic.

“We are currently sitting in fourth place but we will take it a game at the time and go out each time and give it 100 % see how it all pans out.
