Banbridge in IHL semi-finals

BANBRIDGE Hockey Club’s men’s 1st XI will this Saturday travel to Dublin for the semi-finals of the Irish Hockey League.

The team topped their IHL group winning five out of five games to qualify for the next stage.

Banbridge had already qualified for the semis before going into their final game against bottom of the table Glenanne on Saturday in Dublin. Saturday’s game ended in a 2-1 win over Glenanne with both Bann goals coming from Dane Ward.

Bann will play rivals Cookstown in the semis with Lisnagarvey meeting southern side Monkstown in the other tie. The semi-final games take place at Three Rock Rovers club next Saturday with the final taking place on the Sunday. All support is welcomed.
