Banbridge plays host to Ladies finals

ON a beautiful afternoon on Wednesday, September 5, Banbridge bowling green was full of white – clad lady bowlers taking part in two finals, the Mary Moore Trophy, and the Wingrave Cup.

Both finals were closely contested with Newry defeating Dromore in the Mary Moore Trophy and Dungannon overcoming Whitehead in the Wingrave Cup.

After the games had finished, tea as provided in the Clubhouse by Banbridge Ladies.

The following day saw Banbridge travel to Newcastle to play the final League match of the season.Banbridge managed to gain only two points from this encounter. Rink results were:
