Banbridge Special Olympians do their club and town proud again

The athletes from Banbridge Special Olympic Club are recovering after their recent trip to Limerick, competing very well in the Special Olympic All-Ireland games.

Banbridge Special Olympians Josh Macauley (Gold), Liam Ross (Silver), Emma Higgins (Gold), David Ochiltree (Bronze), Denise Fegan(Silver), Nicholas Grant (6th in Bocce), Mark Blevins (4th), Stefan McGrath (Silver) and Philip Patton (Silver) returned from the Special Olympics Ireland Games 2014 in Limerick with a haul of medals and ribbons, included are Coach's Joan Ross, Charmain Patton, Thomas Patton, Claire Gribben and Anthony McGrath © Edward Byrne Photography INBL1425-218EB

BSOC are very proud of their athletes achievements and in the way they represented their club and team Ulster. The athletes participated in four different sports.

Athletics: Josh McCauley-Gold, Liam Ross -Silver

Athletics: Emma Higgins- Gold and fourth, David Ochlitree - Bronze and fourth

Bocce: Denise Fegan- silver and sixth, Mark Blevins- two fourth places, Nicholas Grant- fourth and sixth

Table tennis: Philip Patton two silvers, Stefan McGrath- One silver and sixth

The athletes would like to thank their club coaches and those who chaperoned them to Limerick.
