Banbridge through to next round of the Daly

In the first leg away in Co. Tyrone the talented juveniles from Banbridge won 5–2.

Luke Woods won 6 and 5, Matthew Mallon won 5 and 4, Ben Cosgrove won 4 and 3 and Josh Lockhart won 6 and 5.

Timothy Hodgett and William Malcolmson secured halves. Daniel Culbert was a little ring rusty and he lost 5 and 4.

That was a superb result and it meant that Banbridge only needed two and a half points in the second leg at home.

This was played last Sunday and the conditions were perfect. The golf wasn’t bad either.

Luke Woods (6 and 5), Matthew Mallon (3 and2), Timothy Hodgett (6 and 5), William Malcolmson (2 and 1), Conor Mulholland (5 and 3) and Ben Cosgrove (6 and 5) all won their games and you cannot get much better than that.

Team manager, Trevor Woods, was ecstatic and he cannot wait for the next match against either Mourne or Spa. Bring it on!
