Bann’s defence duo of GK Cathy Buchannan and GD Amanda Johnston worked tirelessly forcing Glens Ladies to work hard to get the ball into their shooting circle, any forced errors were picked up by Banbridge and played carefully down the court to ensure a steal and a chance to stretch the small lead. Bann shooters Paula McBride and Sarah Porter were on top form easily converted . Bann kept their cool and managed to edge ahead by three goals at the end of the second quarter.

Bann’s man to man marking paid off as junior player WA Emma Cartmill managed to intercept and feed Bann’s shooting circle with ease. After several attempts the Glens indeed got rattled as Bann’s GK Amanda managed to tip the feed out of play. Bann’s shooters converted every missed opportunity and stretched their lead by another four goals.

Every player worked and played harder than ever and excelled under the pressure. A fantastic win by eight goals. The whistle seen Bann win the Denise Prue Plate.

A fantastic match with super shooting, between both shooters only missing four goals the whole match.
