Bann 3s still unbeaten after another big win

Banbridge Thirds continued their unbeaten start to the season with a convincing 5-0 victory over Instonians Thirds.

It took Bann ten minutes to get up to speed in the game but the forward partnership of Bill Malcolmson and Mark Campbell were causing Instonians all sorts of problems at the back.

Midway through the game, Bann won a series of short corners and after a couple of options off the top of the circle were well defended, an option back to the injector was well converted by Malcolmson to give Bann the lead.

With the first half drawing to a close, Dermy Reay broke through the Instonians defence and flicked the ball past the onrushing Instonians keeper.

Bann started the second half as they finished the first half and it wasn’t long until Bann increased their lead when a second phase attack was finished well with a fierce slap hit from Woods from the top of the circle.

Campbell had been full of running all match and was rewarded when he finished well from close range to give Bann their fourth goal.

The final goal came from the marauding Marshall whose strong run from defence found a gap in the Instonians defence and he finished well when he made it to the Instonians circle.

Bann Thirds now face the tough trip to Raphoe to take on their Seconds this Saturday.
