There was plenty to celebrate following an excellent year for the club and members.

During dinner the guests were entertained by magician Rodd Hogg. Amazing tricks and illusions were performed leaving everyone absolutely mesmerised.

The Club Secretary Ivan Goldsworthy welcomed everyone and gave an overview of how the club had grown in stature over the year, through all the changes that had been introduced.

Club Chairman Charlie Wright thanked everyone for their input into the changes that had been undertaken during the year and how the new committee appreciated the assistance and support given by every single member.

After all, the club is all about the input from every member and not just from the committee.

Charlie commented on the effort by everyone in choosing the new club kit, and how this has been embraced by every member.

This is clearly shown by the amount of people turning up for club runs in the new kit. Everywhere we go, we are getting wonderful comments about our new kit design and how well it looks.

There were many events hosted by the club this year which required a lot of effort by club members and Charlie thanked all those concerned in organising the club barbecue, WhizzKids events, Charity Sportive, MTB Trailquest and so on.

More than £5,000 was raised for our three worthy charities this year at our Sportive, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Mountfern Adult Centre and Phoenix ADHD Centre, with well over 300 people taking part. Thanks was also given to Culbertsons SPAR, The Rosses, Ballymena and Henderson Wholesale Limited, who sponsored our Charity Club Sportive this year.

After dinner, the awards were presented by Ian Nevin as a thank you for all the hard work he puts into timekeeping at every event throughout the year

A raffle with excellent prizes was organised by Alison Wright and Corrine McDonald, and raised £300 for Marie Curie. The celebrating continued with displays of energetic dancing the rest of the evening!

A huge thank you must go to the Club Secretary Ivan Goldsworthy, Treasurer Davy Park and also to Club Chairman Charlie Wright, as without the effort put in by these people, the club would not be the massive success it is today.
