This was definitely the biggest and best ever Bann Wheelers sportive with over 320 people taking part around the 35 and 60 mile routes.

An absolutely brilliantly organised event by club members Sean Craig and Andy Bate. A fantastic turnout and everyone away home happy, albeit wet after the short but extremely heavy thunderstorms!.

Many thanks to sponsors Culbertsons SPAR, The Rosses, Ballymena and Henderson Wholesale Limited. Thanks also to Corinne and Shane McDonald, Janice, Amy and Lawrence Bradley for the rest stops, everyone that helped with sign on, Stephen McKenzie of North Coast Leisure for the Broom Wagon and Neil Clarke for making sure no one left at the rear. And many thanks also to Louise and everyone at the Rugby Club ensuring everyone was well fed afterwards.

The police motorcyclists made it a great experience for the groups, stopping cars for us at roundabouts.

They gave a huge amount of confidence to us, ensured cars were waved through and not held up but most importantly kept us safe. And over £5,000 raised for our three worthy charities Marie Curie Cancer Care, Mountfern Adult Centre and Phoenix ADHD Centre.
