Barn Runners hit road at Dublin Marathon and Decathlon races

It’s been a busy few weeks for Barn Runners who fielded seven competitors at last week’s Dublin Marathon and then a further seven in Sunday’s Decathlon 10k and Half Marathon.

Jonathan O’Hagan was first home for the club at the Dublin race, setting a new personal best of 03:20:21, closely followed by Neil Porter with another impressive time of 03:23:39. Carl Quinn also broke the three-and-a-half hour mark in a time of 03:27:06 (pb).

Barbara Porter finished with a personal best 04:45:01, while Diane Parker Hylands completed the course in 05:00:43 (pb).

First-time marathon runner Claire Robertson crossed the line in 05:27:05 and Karen Young wasn’t far behind in 05:30:32.

At the Decathlon 10k Gary McCullough was the first Barn Runner to cross the line in 40:18. Barbara Porter came home in 56:14. Emma Wightman timed 56:14 and Siddharth Khowala completed his first 10k in 59:12.

In the Half Marathon Andrew Stevenson ran 1:38:55, Marion Graham 1:59:28 and Michael Loughran 2:06:02.
