Beating the traffic going out the line

Round two of the NI Youth Development League is in Antrim this Saturday, with the young Spartans flying the local flag and hoping for a bigger representation than in the previous round.

Foyle Valley Wilkies 5 Miler takes place tomorrow night.

On Sunday it’s the AAI Games in Santry where a few locals may be tempted to chase fast times, if not glory, at a top class track meeting.

The annual Foyle Valley Wilkies 5 Miler takes place tomorrow (Thursday) evening from the Long Tower Youth/Community Centre where entries will be taken from 5.45pm.

This is a popular event and uses the traffic free “Out the Line” circuit.

Beyond that is the Buncrana 5K next Wednesday night, May 28th, at 7.30pm, using the traditional fast out and back circuit along the Swilly.

Pre-entry is possible by sending, name, date of birth, age on race day and club, if any to [email protected]

Payment can be made when picking up the race pack on race night from 6pm at race Headquarters in Schoil Mhuire, close to the start.
