Becketts Soccer Academy

Despite missing several regulars including Goalkeeper Benny Connor for the second week in succession, Beckett’s struck early when Central Defender Elliot Pearson headed home inside 5 minutes.

The same player made it 2-0 a short time later, again from a corner and then B.S.A’s Scott Curry made it 3-0 before Moyola pulled a goal back just before the interval. The second half saw Becketts score a further six goals without reply.

Another two from Scott Curry saw him claim his hat trick, Lewis Greer scored two with Dessie (The Hawk) Kearney and ace striker Kieran Neil scoring one each.

This game saw young defenders Jack McMullan, George Neill and David McCallister play the full game and will undoubtably give them much needed experience.

Both B.S.A. Central Defenders Elliot Pearson and Gavin Scott were outstanding with Elliot Perason just edging the Man of The Match award from Gavin Scott and Scott Curry. Special mention must go to Moyola Park who played very fairly and competitively for the entire match.

Both these teams meet again this weekend in Ballymoney when they both do battle in the North West & District Under 13’s knock out cup Semi-Final.
