Bertie's boys bid to become Tesco Cup champions
The young team beat Oxford United on Saturday at Limavady Showgrounds.

Hide AdThis is the third year in a row that the young players have reached the final stage of the competition.
Bertie’s controlled the game from the start, and they went in front after ten minutes when Campbell crossed for Kane, who slotted a delightful header past the keeper.
The second half started, just as the first had ended, with Bertie’s boys in control.

Hide AdGrissam, Edgar, Dallas and Carton had things under control at the back. The second goal came with 20 minutes to go after some good work by Edgar and Campbell, Grissam made no mistake from close range.
Ten minutes later the Londonderry side got back in the game when their striker rounded Cassidy to covert.
The big pitch was taking its toll on the Coleraine youngsters, Jack Gray and the Whitesides were introduced and they added a bit of pace to the remainder of the game.
On the final whistle the boys celebrated in style.

Mixed results for Under-10's
Bertie Peacock Youths Under-10's recorded a win and a defeat against their Coleraine counterparts on Saturday.

Hide AdTeam One came away with a good 5-1 win against Coleraine Colts Under-9's.
Scorers on the day were Gabriel Quigley (2), John Eagleson, Jack Hanson and Adam McClelland.
Team Two though went down 2-0 to Coleraine Under-10's. However, the Little Ants can be proud of their performance as they were unlucky not to have come away with something from the game.

Hide AdTeam Two are now looking forward to Wednesday night when they take on Limavady Two at the Showgrounds in the final of the Plate (7.45pm).
Under 12’s go down at Larne
The Under 12’s were hoping to bounce back from their NIBFA Cup exit last week, but they faced an up hill battle against a strong Larne team in the League Cup.
Following a goal-less first half Larne took the lead from a free kick, leaving young Gault in the Peacock goals with no chance.

Hide AdThis didn’t dampen the spirits of Bertie’s boys as they continued to hold their shape and push for an equaliser.
Ross McElphatric was the man on target for the equaliser and after this Bertie’s introduced fresh legs - Matthew Forgrave and Matthew Boreland came on as the Coleraine pushed forward.
Larne went in front again from a corner and grabbed a third soon after to go through to the next round of the Cup.

Chimney Corner too strong
This was a game of two halves.
Taking control from the start of the game, Bertie’s mounted attack after attack but just couldn’t find the net.
The Coleraine side were awarded a penalty after a Chimney Corner player handled in the box, Matthew Maguire stepped up to the spot and slotted home.

Hide AdBertie’s soon found themselves two in front when Corey McMullan found Maguire, he passed to Lee Caulifield who crossed for Dylan McKittrick who made it 2-0.
Chimney Corner came out fighting for the second half, they pulled back three goals, two from the penalty spot to take all three points.
