But it was the local trio of Bryan McKinney, Mervyn Linton in his first ever 100 mile time trial and Steven McAllister who was ill all week and passed out at the finish. Such is the camaraderie of these lads as they rode themselves into the ground for each other. Bryan McKinney showed his true class yesterday beating the 2012 Irish Record

for 100 miles. But it was only good enough on the day as John Madden won the gold in a yet to be ratified by Cycling Ireland yet another Vets record of 3 hours 44 mins 52 seconds.

BCC’s super vet Tony Blaney grandfather to top U16 rider Ryan Orr recorded a personal best time of 4.54.05.

Congratulations to all the BCC Biesty’s Racing Team riders for their efforts in representing the team.
