Big numbers expected at Gransha

This Saturday’s annual North West Cross Country meeting in the Gransha Grounds is set to attract a big entry across all our races on the programme which caters or U13’s; U15’s; U17’s; U20’s; Seniors and Masters.

The Open 6K or the U20’s; Seniors and Masters has been kindly sponsored by Eamonn Gee of the Foyle Valley Wine Club and will ofer a generous and extesive prize list across all the usual categories, including male and female team races - men 6 to score, female 4 to score. It is also a scoring race in both the NI Masters and Athletics NI Winter Leagues and this will ensure additional interest from way beyond the usual NW entry base.

The Open race has a 12.20pm start time and will be preceeded by the under age races, starting at 11.30am by the U13 1.1K. This is followed at 11 40am by the U15’s who race over 2K and then at 11 55am its the U17’s who take on a 3.1K test. A real feast of cross country action is on the cards at the City of Derry Spartans promotion.
