Big win for under-15's

COLERAINE under-15's played their final warm up match before the league season kicks off and had a comprehensive home victory over Ballymoney, 49-12

As the scoreline suggests Coleraine dominated the match throughout scoring nine trys in the process.

In the first ten minutes captain Ryan Harper and centre Alister Irwin scored two fine individual trys to give Coleraine a 10-0 lead, however a lapse in concentration and poor tackling allowed the Ballymoney centre in for a try to reduce the deficit to 10-7.

After that though, Coleraine knuckled down to play some excellent rugby and three more trys were added before half time by back row forwards Ryan Purdy and Robbie Oliver, and a second from Ryan Harper.

Just on half time one of the Ballymoney props bulled his way over to leave the half time at 27-12.

Playing down the slope in the second half Coleraine dominated proceedings and four more trys were added. Alister Irwin added a second, and the impressive Ryan Purdy, playing his first game for Coleraine, added a further three, giving him a total of four for the day.

The rapid progression of this team is impressive with the new players fitting in well. The pack played their best game of the season to date and there were several stand out performances.

Man of the match Ryan Purdy in the back row showed great strength and pace, scoring all his trys from distance.
