Blues bid to extend lead

LINFIELD have a chance to extend their lead at the top of the table to four points when they face Dungannon Swifts at Windsor Park tonight.

The Blues will be without Kris Lindsay who sustained three factures to his face in the latter stages of the Big Two match last Saturday.

"Kris has been absolutely awesome for us in recent games and didn't even want to come off the pitch after the injury," said boss David Jeffrey. He could be out for up to 12 weeks but we're hoping he could get the go ahead to play with a mask and be back within 3-4 weeks."

The Blues are on a great run at present but still boss Jeffrey urges caution. "No-one in the dressing room will be getting carried away. We are going well and things look good at the minute, but we want to make them even better and tonight is a chance for us to open up a bit of a gap. Dungannon are a handful and only recently they beat Glentoran to continue their push into the top six."
