Bobby Sparrow Blue does it again

THE Connemara Pony is a breed that is internationally reconised as a great all-rounder from European gold medal winners to the invaluable family pony. He is finally getting his chance to prove what he can do on his home ground of Clifden, Connemara.

This is the second year of the Puissance wall competition and has captured the interest and excitement of a new audience. This competition attracted 19 entries with six joint winners including the Connemara Stallion Bobby Sparrow Blue, standing at stud in Faughanvale Stables, Greysteel.

Bobby Sparrow Blue standing 147cm high was again the ‘little pony with the big heart’ and matched his competitors jump by jump to retain his title in great style and clearing the final wall at 155cm high. There were six ponies in contention.

In the excitement and with the wall already rebuilt at 165cm competitors were told that the five rounds allowed in a puissance competition had already been cleared. So they will have to come back next year to see more.
