Recently some of the club officials were pleased to be present in the boardroom of Lurgan Credit Union’s headquarters to receive a cheque from Terry Lenahan, honorary treasurer on behalf of the Credit Union.

The Mixed Competition Rinks final is now part of a new Club innovation – A Festival of Bowling - that is to run over the entire week from August 22 to 29. It will include all the club finals to be played in the evenings between the Monday and the Thursday with the final of the Invitation Inter-Club Charity Challenge Competition for the Alwood Shield, sponsored by Alfred Briggs (Alwood) Ltd being staged on the Friday evening.

The Festival of Bowling is an effort to raise the profile of the game in the Lurgan area and give time in the afternoons of that week for the public to come along and try the game for themselves.

All is required is that they wear reasonably flat shoes. Other equipment will be provided by the club.
