On Rink 1 Pauline Blair, Eileen Magill, Rene Gallagher skipped by Valerie Noble opened up a six-shot lead over the first two ends, and led 11 - 5 after nine.

M. Wesson of Antrim rallied her quartet drawing to level the scores at 13 shots each after 16 ends.

Taking four shots over the final two ends, Curran emerged as 17 shots to 13 winners.

Rink 2, made up of the quartet of Marwin Hardy, Sonya McDermott, Joyce Spiers and Lynda Simms at skip, started slowly and trailed until the 11th end where a four-shot lie put them 12 shots to nine in front. They increased their lead by a single shot on end 12. Antrim’s M. Moore encouraged her four to regain the lead and there was just one shot in it by 16 ends (15 - 14). But the Simms rink drew a five on the 17th, leaving Curran 19 shots to 15 ahead. Needing a ‘Hot Shot’ on the final end, Antrim conceded defeat.

Result: Curran L.B.C. 36 shots Antrim Lawn 28.
