Bowls: Spoonful of success for Lisburn Juniors

The new IIBA Junior Rinks, which were played at Belfast Stadium on Saturday, introduced a new idea when the bottom four met in a round robin event.

Lisburn were one of this quartet and they came out on top to lift the Spoon.

They beat West Down 16-11 in the semi-final and met North Down, 27-7 winners over Mid Down in the other last four game.

Lisburn came into their own in the decider with a 21-8 win over North Down.
