Another title for boxer Arturs

There were celebrations at Lisburn Amateur Boxing Club recently, with more titles being brought to the club.

Club member Arturs Sterns recently won yet another title with success on the County Antrim Intermediates.

Arturs, who was entered in the 81kg Class, fought straight away on the Wednesday night.

He stopped his man in the second round, delivering a volley of lefts and rights to which his man had no answer.

Arturs was then set to fight on Friday night in the final.

His final opponent was overweight, however, Arturs fought him anyway.

In the first round the local fighter began to show his authority by using his jab to good effect, followed by his right hand.

His man could not take this and the referee stopped the fight in the second round for Arturs to win the County Antrim Intermediate 81 kg Class title.

Congratulations to Arturs from all at the club.

This is Arturs third title ar the event and more titles are sure to follow.
