The Lodge Hotel will be the venue for the NI Children to Lapland Trust Fight Night. This is the second year this event has been run and if last year’s sell out event is anything to go by boxing fans are in for a real treat and a great night’s entertainment.

All the participants have been put through their paces over the last six weeks at Churchlands Golden Gloves and Scorpion Boxing Club and they will collide against each other this weekend, all in the name of charity.

They have been working hard in the gym and the ring as they prepare for their debut bouts in front of a large crowd at the Coleraine venue.

As well as putting in the hard work in the gym all the competitors have been working equally as hard fund raising for the Children to Lapland Trust.

Alan ‘Spike’ Martin of the Scorpion Club said: “This really is a great charity which helps very sick and terminally ill kids.

“Last year the event raised £14,000 and everyone is working very hard to try to match that total if possible.”

Doors open at 7pm so please come early to get a seat. Everyone is welcome.

The price of a ticket for the event is £15 and they are available at reception at the Lodge Hotel or contact Raymond on 02870344482.

If you don’t have a ticket on time you can pay at the door on the night also.
