Tyler is a real star and performed beyond his years in all the bouts, Tyler had to engage with three opponents in three days to pick up the gold and did so in blistering fashion.

Tyler really enjoys the sport and is focussed on learning and developing into becoming a champion at all levels. He is a joy to teach and has been working on his footwork exercises, which helped him win all his fights to date.

Christopher is 12 years old and a pupil at Cambridge House Grammar School in Ballymena where he lives.

Chris has been training hard to this point and was delighted to win this his first boxing title. Christopher is learning and is very eager which can be a care point when being coached; such is his willingness to engage with the opponent.

Christopher boxed twice inside three days before becoming a champion and will no doubt mature into the sport and continue to develop his skills. Chris had to listen to his corner man and change his style adopting a punch and move style which kept his opponent on the outside to win gold at 39kg. This approach won Christopher the fight.

Jacob is 14 years old and is a pupil at Dunclug High in Ballymena. Jacob stopped his opponent inside two rounds with his raw power and aggressive style of boxing. Fighting at 70 kg in a special contest this was the second time inside 4 days that Jacob fought and stopped both opponents.

Jacob has been training with the club for some time and has developed into a strong pressure fighter. Jacob is the oldest of the Boxing Bradshaw brothers who have between them now a host of boxing titles.

Jacob will now continue to train with the senior boys who will help his progress and with a clear development plan and hope Jacob will continue in his winning ways.

All three boys are a credit to the club states John Mcleister head coach of Braid ABC.

“The boys did us proud, we only entered the three boys knowing they could win and they all gave an excellent account of themselves representing the club.

“Three out of three isn’t bad at all and whilst the credit must go to the boys a big thank you must also go to the coaching staff that give up their own time to coach these young men each week.

“All three boys will be joined by two more teammates in a few weeks to fight again for a Co Antrim Title only this time in an open class. The winner of which will book their place in the All Ireland championships at their respective age and weight.
