There will be a huge local interest at the ISKA sanctioned event, as Derry clubs, Bishop Street K1-Kickboxing and Strike Martial Arts Academy have joined forces to promote what promises to be a massive event at Templemore Sports Complex on November 15th.

More than 1,000 people are expected to watch some of the best kickboxers in the world face off.

The last major fighting event to be held there was in 1979 when local boxing legend Charlie Nash won the European Title against Andre Holyk. Charlie will be in attendance at ‘Domination’ with his title belt.

Local hope, Bishop Street K1-Kickboxing’s Brian Houston will fight for a full-contact world title on the night, following his recent European win on September against Damien Darker - who was considered to be the best middle weight in the world.

Brian previously bagged the ISKA junior Irish title, and also the ISKA senior title stopping the very experienced and older Ethan Young with a perfectly timed spinning heel kick to the stomach.

Strike’s Eamon Deane will fight for the Pro-Am K1 world title, while his stable mates Brendan Magee and Damien Duddy will both fight for K1 Irish titles.

Noel Morrison will contest for the full-contact Irish title and Rath Mor’s Cian Kennedy will fight for the junior Irish title.
