Support the Fight Night at Scorpion

Scorpion Boxing Club will be hosting a knockout show on Friday 18th March with a number of clubs from Churchlands Golden Gloves, Coleraine, Skerries, Bangor and St. Paul's Belfast joining forces with the Ballymoney fighters in the ring.

Scorpion has created many champions in its 32 year history and Coach Alan ‘Spike’ Martin continues to work tirelessly to ensure the club remains to the fore in local boxing and this event will be used to encourage and develop young boxers from the area.

“I have been talking to some of the coaches from Coleraine and Belfast and we agree that we need to work together to bring on some of these young lads who are coming through.

“We have alot of talent in the club and it is important to encourage the youngsters and bring them on and that’s why fight nights like this are important.

“The young lads get the opportunity to put their uniforms on and fight in front of an audience and that helps to develop them as fighters.

“Hopefully we will get a good turnout on the night. It’s important that as many people as possible come along and encourage these young boxers.”

Scorpion’s Fight Night will take place in St. Patrick’s Hall, Castle Street, Ballymoney on Friday 18th March. Doors open at 7.30pm

The club train every Monday, Wednesday and Friday night from 7 until 9pm so if anyone wants to come along and join they will be made very welcome.
